PURPOSE:To obtain sharp picture having high resolution, by using solidstate pick up device less in video elements comparatively and combinating it with special color stripe filters. CONSTITUTION:On the photo sensitive plane of two dimensional CCD 14 consisting of vertical 512 video elements and horizontal 320 video elements, the color stripe filter 13(a) is formed, and the output signal (b) from CCD 14 is the point sequential signal where three color signals of red R, green G and ciane C corresponding to the filters 13 are sequentially varied. On the other hand, the gate signal generation circuit 22 is driven with the signal from the synchronizing signal generating circuit 15, where a counter is formed and three phase signals (c) to (e) having the phase relation corresponding to R, G, C signals are obtained. The signals corresponding to each part of the filters 13 are detected 19 to 21. In this case, C signal includes green signal, blue signal is obtained with the subtraction 23 of green component, thereby causing three primary colors of red, green and blue. On the other hand, the luminance signal can be obtained by being separated with LPF 18 having cut off frequency of 3 MHz.
