PURPOSE:A composition, consisting of a specific aliphatic glycol based polyester and specific aromatic polyester, having improved heat resistance and adhesion properties and useful as adhesives or coating agents readily soluble in general- purpose solvents. CONSTITUTION:A polyester composition obtained by incorporating (A) 30-95wt% polyester selected from (A1) aliphatic glycol based polyesters consisting of an acid component consisting of 100-90mol% aromatic dicarboxylic acid and 0-10mol% aliphatic dicarboxylic acid and a glycol component consisting of 0-80mol% 2-4C straight-chain aliphatic glycol and 20-100mol% another aliphatic glycol or alicyclic glycol and (A2) aliphatic glycol based polyesters consisting of an acid component consisting of 90-50mol% aromatic dicarboxylic acid and 10-50mol% 2-36C aliphatic dicarboxylic acid and a glycol component consisting of 0-100mol% each same glycols as the component (A1) in combination with (B) 70-5wt% aromatic polyester consisting of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and dihydric phenol.
