Summary: | PURPOSE:To manufacture stably a steel strip subjected to differential plating in the lateral direction by using an electrode divided obliquely into parts having high current density and a part having low current density in the lateral direction of a steel strip and by supplying electric current to the electrode as the anode and the steel strip as the cathode. CONSTITUTION:A steel strip 1 is subjected to differential plating 2 in the lateral direction to form a layer composed of both thick edge parts and a thin central part. At this time, an electrode 3 divided obliquely into parts 4 having high current density and a part 5 having low current density in the lateral direction of the steel strip 1 is used. Electric current is supplied to the electrode 3 as the anode and the steel strip 1 as the cathode and the steel strip 1 is continuously passed through a plating bath to carry out differential plating. |
