Summary: | PURPOSE:To enable the use of a small-sized and less expensive pressure sensor of a maximum allowable low load by providing a pressure sensor for detecting the magnitude of a pressing force from the elastic deformation of an elastic body. CONSTITUTION:A booster mechanism 2 is to intensify a stepping force working on a brake pedal 1. The body 8 of the mechanism 2 is interlocked with the brake pedal 1 via an input means 9, and an input detecting device 10 is provided within the body 8. The detecting device 10 has an elastic body 25 between a pressing plate 17 and a push rod 12, housed in the larger bore 18a of a stepped bore 18, and couples a pressure transmission member 27 to the outside of a stepped bore 26 formed on the pressing plate 17 in an axial direction so as to be freely slidable. The inside of the stepped bore 26 is so provided with a holder 29 housing a pressure sensor 28, as to be freely slidable, and a spring 33 is provided between the holder 29 and the body 8, so that the pressure sensor 28 will not be exposed to a load more than necessary. |
