Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition having improved heat resistance, flame retardance and impact resistance, by using a copolymeer consisting of alpha-methylstyrene, etc., a specific graft copolymer, etc., and extruding the composition by a specific single screw extruder having a specific kneading zone. CONSTITUTION:(A) 10-70wt% copolymer consisting of A1: (styrene-containing)alpha- methylstyrene, A2: vinyl cyanide and a maleimide (derivative) shown by the formula (R is H, etc.,) is blended with (B) 10-50wt% graft copolymer obtained by subjecting a monomer mixture consisting of an aromatic vinyl monomer, A2 and A3 to graft copolymerization in the presence of a butadiene (co)polymer, (C) 0-50wt% copolymer consisting of an aromatic vinyl monomer, A2 and a methacrylic ester copolymerizable with them and (D) 20-80wt% polyvinyl chloride resin by the use of a specific single screw extruder having a kneading zone consisting of a screw with a (pseudo)polygonal section in a position corresponding to a cylinder with a (pseudo)polygonal section at part between a feed opening and a vent opening.
