Summary:PURPOSE:To enable a generated vibration to be surely suppressed, by engaging a clutch so that a relative rotary angle between its input and output sides agrees with the preset angle where the vibration of engines is negated by each other as a reverse phase. CONSTITUTION:If one engine 1 is in operation, the engine transmits its output shaft 3 through a reduction gear 4 while drives an output side 6b of a clutch 6 in an off-condition to be rotated through an input shaft 4b. Next, if an engine 2 is started, a control means 11 detects a relative rotary angle theta between an input side 6a of the clutch 6 and its output side 6b by photoelectric elements 9 of an angle detecting means 7 to be compared with a preset angle phi, which is previously set so that the vibration generated in the engines 1, 2 is placed in a reverse phase, and the control means 11 performs a speed control, in case of no agreement between both the above angles, while opens a control valve 12b, when the relative rotary angle theta agrees with the preset angle phi, to engage the clutch 6. In this way, the vibration, which is generated from the plural engines in parallel operation, can be surely suppressed.
