Summary:PURPOSE:To decide an effective address by deciding an effective address by majority logic based on the weighted recovery address so as to suppress an erroneous recovery address to the utmost and discriminating the reliability rationally. CONSTITUTION:In reproducing an address of each block to a recording medium divided into plural blocks, and an address, error detection or correction code are written n-multiple at each block, the address recorded by n-multiple write (n is an integer >=2) is recovered sequentially, weighting is applied depending on the number of errors detected before error detection or correction processing and the effective address in the address subject to n-multiple write is decided based on the weighted value. Thus, the reliability of the address reproduction is improved remarkably.
