Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a processing surface without any defect or with extremely rare defects by using a synthetic resin film or cloth tabricated with resin servicing as a base member elastic grains stocks with an adhesive, to its one face, and mixed abrasive grains consisting of diamond grains and the rest comprising boron carbide and silicon carbide which are stuck, with the adhesive, to the full face thereof. CONSTITUTION:An elastic grain abrasive sheet is formed of a base member 1 made of a synthetic resin film or cloth tabricated with resin, elastic grains such as cork grains and rubber grains of 0.1-1.0mm stuck, with an adhesive 2, to one face thereof, and mixed abrasive grains 4 consisting of diamond grains in grain size of 80/100 or less and mean diameter up to 0.3mum or diamond grains more than 10 mass percentage and the rest comprising boron carbide and silicon carbide which are stuck, with an adhesive 2', to the full face thereof. Accordingly, when a hard and brittle material such as ceramic is polished, the sheet does not suffer from cracks and chipping on the faces to be processed because of elastic reaction thereon not like a conventional and the processed faces can be obtained without a defect or with extremely rare defects.
