Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a comparator circuit operated within a wide range of input voltage while narrowing the operation disable range of an input voltage by using two sets of differential pairs and combining the output currents by three current mirror circuits. CONSTITUTION:Input voltages +Vin,-Vin are fed to the control electrode of differential pairs DA1, DA2 respectively to generate output currents i11 i12 and i21, i22 proportional to the input voltage difference. The current mirror circuit CM1 produces a current proportional to the said output current i11 and superimposes it on the output current i22. The current mirror circuit M2 generates a current proportional to the output current i12 and superimposes it on the output current i21. The current mirror circuit CM3 generates a current proportional to the output current i21 and superimposes it on the output current 22. Thus, a comparator circuit having a wide in-phase input voltage range is realized.
