Summary: | PURPOSE:To enhance printing characteristics and prevent troubles from occurring during feeding, by providing a heat-fusible ink layer on a base and providing thereon a layer of a wax having a low viscosity. CONSTITUTION:After providing a heat-fusible ink layer on a base, a wax having a low viscosity is applied to the ink layer. As a result, the low-viscosity wax flows into longitudinal streaks formed in the surface of the ink layer to solve the problems of the longitudinal streaks, and the surface of the wax layer itself becomes smooth. A wax having a melt viscosity at 120 deg.C of 5-50 cP is used as the low-viscosity wax. The heat-fusible ink comprises a coloring agent such as carbon black, a heat-fusible binder comprising a wax such as paraffin wax, and a thermoplastic resin such as a petroleum resin, all of these constituents having a melt viscosity at 120 deg.C of 100-500 cP, enabling hot-melt coating. |
