Summary:PURPOSE:To improve the stability of a control system by turning a power switching element fitted to an exciting circuit ON-OFf in a time division manner in response to output voltage from a generator. CONSTITUTION:An integrator 14 integrates a deviation among output voltage Vi from a generator, feedback voltage Vf from an amplifier 18 and set voltage V0. When output voltage from the integrator 14 reaches a ceiling value Vb, an output from a comparator 15 reaches negative voltage, and a MOSFET 16 for excitation is turned ON and field currents are reduced. Feedback voltage Vf is brought to a negative value and an output from the integrator 14 is minimized at the same time. When the output from the integrator 14 reaches a lower limit value Va, the output from the comparator 15 reaches positive voltage, the MOSFET 16 is turned OFF and field currents are increased while feedback voltage Vf reaches 0, and the output from the integrator 14 is augmented.
