Summary:PURPOSE:To make it unnecessary to bring right and left margin securing buttons to a switching operation each time, by making the start timing of a resist roller variable in accordance with the margin to be prepared, so that the margin can be continuously prepared from one of right and left margins. CONSTITUTION:Both outputs of a margin position selecting switch 2 for selecting either margin of right and left margins, and an automatic margin changing switch 4 are inputted to a microcomputer 6. Subsequently, from the microcomputer 6, an output is provided to a resist roller driving control circuit 8, and in accordance with instructions from the automatic margin changing switch 4, and the margin position selecting switch 2, a control is executed. That is to say, by making the rotation start time of a resist roller earlier or later than a usual copying time, the margin to be prepared on copying paper can be prepared continuously and alternately as to the right and left from either margin of the right margin or the left margin.
