Summary:PURPOSE:To provide an antistatic agent for styrene resin, consisting of a specific mixture composed of a monoester, diester and triester of glycerol and capable of exhibiting extremely excellent antistatic effect only at a small amount. CONSTITUTION:The objective antistatic agent is a mixture of glycerol esters composed of one or more kinds of esters selected from (A) a glycerol monoester of formula I and/or formula II (R is 7-21C alkyl), (B) a glycerol diester of formula III and/or formula IV and (C) a glycerol triester of formula V, wherein the content of esters having >=11C alkyl group as the R group is >=50(wt)% and the content of the component A is >=70%. It is added to a styrene resin preferably at an amount of 0.05-3% and the composition is mixed with a Henschel mixer, etc.
