Summary:PURPOSE:To improve the capturing rate of pulverous powder by providing a spiral guide plate between an annular space around a raw material depot and capturing port and changing the swirling direction of a carrier gas. CONSTITUTION:The pulverous powder 7 formed by the irradiation of a plasma arc on the raw material laides on the carrier gas of the swirling flow in the annular space around the raw material depot 11a or the space 15 upper than said space. The carrier gas moves toward the lower space and is guided by the guide plate 19 so as to flow in the lamina flow state along a guide path 20 toward a capturing port 13. The carrier gas is fed from the port 13 through a capturing pipe 14 to a recovering device. The formed pulverous powder is prevented from sticking to the inside wall of the passage and the capturing efficiency of the pulverous powder is improved according to such mechanism. The formation of the coarse grains of the pulverous powder by the contact of the pulverous powder with each other is prevented by the disturbance of the carrier gaseous flow and the fine and uniform pulverous powder is captured.
