Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic head while exfoliation of a magnetic thin film is prevented and no choking is caused between a magnetic base and a magnetic thin film by coating a metallic magnetic material on a magnetic base made of a high specific resistance material under a prescribed range of a bias voltage by the sputtering method. CONSTITUTION:'Sendust(R)' alloys 21a, 21b are provided in a case 10 sealing an argon gas and plural magnetic bases 1 are provided at the lower face of a rotary plate 17 arranged opposite to a rotary plate 16. Then the bases 1 are opposed just above the alloy 21a through the rotary disk 16 having a notch hole 18. A high frequency high voltage is impressed externally to the alloys 21a, 21b. When the alloy 21a is worn out, the disk 16 is turned to correspond the hole 18 to the alloy 21b. A voltage of -30--90V is impressed to the base 1 from the external DC power supply 20 and an AC bias voltage of 30-90V is impressed from an AC power supply 19.
