PURPOSE:To line the inside surface of a differential diameter pipeline with one stage by supplying pressurized fluid to a pig having a specific shape to move the pig forward in the pipeline and acting a fluid pressure thereto to move the pig backward. CONSTITUTION:The pig elements corresponding to the bores of differential diameter pipe parts are serially connected in order of diameters in the stage of lining the inside surface of the differential diameter pipeline including plural pieces of such differential diameter pipe parts which decrease the bores stepwise from the beginning to final end. While a coating material (b) filled in the pipeline (a) is pushed by the pig 1 in the stage of forward movement between the beginning and terminal end of the pipeline (a), the material (b) is gradually lined on the inside surface of the pipeline (a) and the pressurized fluid is supplied to the inside of the pig 1 from the beginning end of the pipeline (a) to move the pig 1 forward. The fluid pressure is acted on the pig 1 to move the pig backward. The inside surface of the differential diameter pipeline is lined in one stage, by which the applicability is improved and the thickness of the coated film is controlled. The lining is thus executed in high quality and high performance.
