Summary:PURPOSE:To manufacture easily a disk cartridge when an excellent durability and providing a lock lever having a claw engaged with a hole installed on a shutter and an elastic member exciting said lever. CONSTITUTION:When the cartridge is inserted into a recording and reproducing device in the reverse direction of an arrow (a), the releasing member 10 of the recording and reproducing device abuts on the projecting part 14 of the lock lever 11, which is rotated in the direction of an arrow (b) against the elastic member 13 to unlock a lock claw part 11a out of an engaging hole 5A. When the cartridge is further inserted, the releasing member 10 rotating in the direction of an arrow (c) opens the shutter 4 along the abutting face 11b of the lock lever 11 in the state where the lock lever 11 is pressed to release the lock claw part 11a out of the engaging hole 5A. When the cartridge is pulled out of the recording and reproducing device, the shutter released from the releasing member returns and is locked at a closing position by the lock lever. Accordingly a complicated and undue force will not apply to the lock lever.
