Summary:PURPOSE:To reduce noise and obtain high resolution, by disposing an energy filter selecting charged particles and a superconductive quantum coherent element in a magnetic shielding body made of a superconductive material, and measuring directly the kinetic energy of the charged particles. CONSTITUTION:Charged particcles excited and discharged from a sample 2 are conducted into a magnetic shielding body 4, and are energy-selected by an energy filter 6 disposed therein. And only charged particles having more kinetic energy and a prescribed value are passed through this energy filter 6, and injected to a superconductive quantum coherent element 8. When electric currents are flowed for the element 8, magnetic flux density varies at each time of the transmission of the charged particles, accordingly current value varies periodically. On the other hand, the number per unit volume of the charged particles passing through the magnetic shielding body 4 is detected by a detector. Thus, the kinetic energy of charged particles can be measured directly.
