PURPOSE:To produce various kinds of tires efficiently by a method wherein upper and lower dies of a vulcanizing combination die are provided so as to be elevatable independently and the bottom surfaces of respective lower dies are supported by a base frame so as to be movable independently as a clamping mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of clamping hydraulic pressure cylinders 8 capable of pressurizing the equally divided positions of the bottom surface of a lower die 7 are arranged on a base frame 1, and one piece of a clamping rod 13 is set upright at a center position concentric to the press center of a top slide 11, supporting and elevating an upper die 9, while said rod 13 is integrated with the side of a top frame 4 through the interposition of a clamping frame 18. According to this method, a clamping force is obtained by elevating the piston rod 8a of the cylinder 8 by a short stroke upon clamping the dies. The clamping rod 13 is integrated with the top frame in the frame 5 of a vulcanizer through the clamping plate 18, whereby the distribution of the clamping force can be prevented.
