Summary:PURPOSE:To cultivate a microorganism having photosynthesis ability, efficiently, by setting a great number of end parts of specific light transmitting paths at intervals of <= specific dimension in a culture tank and irradiating the other end of them with light rays. CONSTITUTION:A great number of end parts of light transmitting paths 21 consisting of a transparent solid material which has smooth side wall surface, is drawn and branched are set at mutual intervals of <=200mm in a culture tank 7 and the end of the light transmitting paths is irradiated with sunlight and/or artificial light. A fixed amount of a culture solution is continuously extracted from the culture tank 7, a microorganism, etc., is separated as a product from the extracted culture solution, collected and the culture solution from which the microorganism, etc., is separated, and is returned to the culture tank.
