Summary:PURPOSE:To manufacture the titled sheet superior in punched shape, by cold rolling hot rolled plate contg. specified compsn. quantities of C, Si, Al, annealing, then applying a suitable skin pass and electrical insulation coating treatment to the sheet. CONSTITUTION:Hot rolled plate contg. <=0.01% C, 0.1%<=Si+2Al<=2.0% is cold rolled and annealed, then subjected to skin pass by 3-15% draft. Inorganic, organic or semiinorganic, semiorganic electrical insulation treatment is applied, favorably before or after the skin pass. In this way, steel sheet superior in punched shape having 7-20mum average grain diameter is obtd. The steel sheet is punching worked, then magnetically annealed to coarsen grains and average grain diameter of steel sheet is grown to >=50mum. In this way, nonoriented electrical sheet capable of providing industrially, inexpensively and stably stepping motor extremely superior in statical characteristic, dynamic characteristic, transient responsiveness is obtd.
