Summary:PURPOSE:To easily check the validity of a design standard by executing a layout by applying an optional design standard to a design object which is placed in a design object area, and displaying its result. CONSTITUTION:A design standard written by an IF-THEN type which becomes a restricted condition, in an arrangement design constructed and stored in advance in a design standard data memory device 10, and a rule are all counted up and sequenced in a written order, and only its number is all displayed on a display device 1 in a shape for surrounding a lattice. Also, whether it is necessary to change the existing design standard stored in the design standard data memory device 10 or not is decided, and if its change is necessary, a processing procedure is called from a design standard construction processing procedure storage pat 5c. In this way, the correction, addition, and deletion of an existing design standard are executed, and they are re-stored as a new design standard in the design standard data memory device 10.
