PURPOSE:To simplify regulating operation of reclining of a seat, by a method wherein, through operation of one-action key, a seat back and a side support can be simultaneously regulated to a full flat position or returned to an initial position. CONSTITUTION:In the initial positions of a seat back and a side support, a full flat position 5b is selected by an input means 5, and full flat position 4b information of a memory means 4 is read out by a driving signal generating means 6. Meanwhile, a present position detecting signal is inputted from a position detecting means 3, a driving signal provided as a result of comparison with and computation of full flat information is outputted to driving means 7 and 8, and driving mechanisms 1 and 2 are driven in the direction of the full flat position. When the seat back is inclined backward and the side support is brought into a full opening position, the driving means 1 and 2 are brought to a stop. When the seat back and the side support are returned to the initial position again, it may be effected through selection of the key means 5 to an initial position 5a, and this enables simple regulation of reclining of a seat.
