Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent the temperature in a burner part from rising, to decrease generation of unburnt matter, and to enable to stabilizedly ignite and burn flame-retardant fuel, by mixing oxygen with the primary air and over-firing air (OFA) only to use the oxygen-enriched air in a specified zone to burn fuel. CONSTITUTION:Oxygen 6 is mixed with the primary air and over-firing air only, in a method to burn fuel 5 such as pulverized solid fuel or slurry fuel with combustion air 1, which is divided into the primary air 2, the secondary air 3, and over-firing air 4. Unburnt matter is contained in combustion exhaust gas 10 passing through the outlet of a main burner zone 14. OFA4 of high oxygen concentration is very effective to burn unburnt matter, and it is nearly completely burned out in a OFA zone 15. Besides, the more the concentration of oxygen increases in the primary air 2 of high oxygen concentration, the shorter the distance for ignition becomes, so that even flame-retardant fuel can be ignited and burned stably.
