Summary:PURPOSE:To both insert an article to and extrude it from a mounting part with no necessity for utilizing gravity, by providing a holding means, which mounts the article to and removes it from the mounting part, and a means which extrudes the article mounted to the mounting part. CONSTITUTION:An attractive head 23, mounted to a moving unit 8, attractively holds an IC1 in a loader part to be transferred to a part just above a socket 3. Next a device, lowering the first rod 9 by rotating a motor 15, inserts the IC1, held by the attractive head 23, into a part between both side terminals 4, 4 in the socket 3. After a predetermined electric characteristic test is execut ed, the device, lowering the second rod 10 by rotating a motor 16, lifts the inner free end part of a lever 26 inside the socket 3 because a pusher 25 depresses an outer free end part of the lever 26 turnably supported to the socket 3. Then the device, attractively holding the IC1 to the attractive head 23 to be transferred to an unloader part, reloads the IC1 being released from its holding by the attractive head 23.
