PURPOSE:To obtain a sealing device in which flexible high molecular films are opposed to each other and capable of sealing even when a hard sealing material is used by making the thickness of the sealing material to more than about 100mum. CONSTITUTION:Opposing inner sides in the peripheral parts of flexible film substrates 11, 13 are cut to tapered form and the sealing material 15 is filled in these parts. Accordingly, the thickness of the sealing material 15 can be made to more than 100mum even when the gap between the flexible film substrates 11 and 13 is about 10mum. There is a notched part 11c in the edge of the upper flexible high molecular film substrate 11 and the sealing material 15 is filled in the notched part 11c. Thus, the T-peeling strength of the sealing material 15 is enhanced by this action, and the adhesive force of the sealing material can be displayed effectively, and a hard epoxy group adhesive which is not sufficiently flexible can be used satisfactorily as a sealing material.
