Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent a leased line from being acquired unnecessarily by giving each exchange (EPBX) an ID number, sending a calling subscriber number and the ID number to the opposite EPBX during origination, and stopping trunk selecting operation when an incoming ID number coincide with its ID number. CONSTITUTION:If a leased line 2-1 is engaged when a telephone set 4-1 calls a telephone set 4-2 having a number 2550, the CPU of EPBX1-1 uses a leased line 2-2 to send the number 2250 and the ID number of EPBX1-1 to EPBX1-3. The ID of the CPU of EPBX1-3, however, is dissident with the sent ID number. Therefore, the CPU acquires a leased line trunk 3-7 when a leased light trunk 3-6 is in used, and sends the number 2250 and the ID number of EPBX1-1 to EPBX1-1. Then, EPBX1-1 receives a dial signal from EPBX1-3. The ID number added to the received number 2250 is compared with its ID number and they are the same, so further trunk selecting operation is not performed.
