PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of the delivery of a tire tread, by providing at an extended section of an arraying conveyor a sliding rack having loading frames of two or more pairs of tire tread housing book trucks, delivering one truck and introducing an empty truck while the other truck is being loaded. CONSTITUTION:The apparatus for loading the tire tread delivered from the arraying conveyor 37 onto the book truck 32a is provided with a pit P at the extended section of the array conveyor 37, and the working floor of the pit P is equipped with the sliding rack 1 for carrying at least two loadong frames 25, 25a. The sliding rack 1 can be slid to a working position C located at the extended section of the arraying conveyor 37 and to waiting positions A, B located adjacent to the working position C. The tire tread housing book, and two or more such loading frames 25, 25a having means capable vertically moving it are placed on the sliding rack 1. It is preferred that the loading frames 25, 25a can be rotated to suitable directions.
