PURPOSE:To certainly perform the measurement of the concn. of the liquid metal mist in an inert cover gas and the recovery of the mist therein, in collecting the liquid metal mist in the inert cover gas above a high temp. liquid metal, by using a mist collecting pipe having a specific filter. CONSTITUTION:The mist of liquid Na is present in the inert cover gas existing above the surface of the high temp. liquid Na 1 in the liquid Na accommodating machinery 2 of a high speed breeder corresponding to the temp. In order to measure the concn. of this Na mist and to recover said mist, a small orifice 3 equipped with a gate valve 6 is provided to the side wall of the accommodating machinery 2 and a guide pipe 4 is attached therein. A mist collecting pipe 5 equipped with a filter is inserted into said guide pipe 14 through the end part seal mechanism 8 thereof and the cover gas containing the liquid Na mist is sucked by the actions of a vacuum cylinder and a vacuum pump 33 to analyse the same and to collect the same by the filter 10. By this method, the concn. analysis and the recovery of the Na mist in the cover gas can be performed rapidly, safely and easily.
