Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a predetermined filtering area by the reduced number of tubular materials, by setting a tubular material having bendability in a bent state to a filter mechanism. CONSTITUTION:Open-cell porous tubular materials 6 comprising polytetrafluoroethylene are bent around a center shaft 2 in a spiral form and the end part of each tubular material 6 is attached to the passing port provided to the end plate member 1 at the end part of the center shaft 2 by an open cap 9. A flange body 10 is attached so as to form a required gap between the end surface of the end plate member 1 and the end part of the open cap 9 and a fluid to be filtered is supplied into the flange part. By this structure, the number of the tubular materials for passing the fluid to be filtered through the tube walls thereof can be reduced to a large extent and the attachment and processing as a filter mechanism are simple and high filtering areal density is obtained. Said filtering areal density can be freely selected.
