Summary:PURPOSE:To terminate the overload state quickly by transmitting the voice of a speaking subscriber of each channel including a side tone to him to allow him to know the abnormality of the service state if the full addition output of sound signals of plural channels exceeds a prescribed sound volume level. CONSTITUTION:If the output of an adder 1 exceeds a limiter voltage, this state is detected by a level detector 4, and the detector 4 stops pera tions of subtractors 2-A, 2-B... for a prescribed period after the detection time and the output of the adder is applied to limiters 3-A, 3-B... Sound signals including side tones of speaking subscribers of channels A and B which have amplitudes limited are transmitted to speaking subscribers of channels A and B, who speak actually, through receivers for a prescribed period. Thus, speaking subscribers themselves become aware of the abnormality to stop quickly the conference of loud voices, thereby terminating the excessive amplitude state in the early stage.
