PURPOSE:To record a signal on two optical information recording areas with the use of an optical system of the 3-beam system by using the 2nd light beam placed at the center to record the signal and scanning a track guide with the 1st light beam in recording the 1st recording area and the 3rd light beam in recording the 2nd information recording area. CONSTITUTION:In writing information to an optical information recording area 1a, a beam spot A-1 is arranged onto a track guide 2, a beam spot A-2 is onto the optical information recording area 1a and a beam spot A-3 is arranged onto an optical information recording area 1b, and the information is written by the beam spot A-2 with a strong beam intensity as a recording pit string 3. In writing the information to the optical information recording area 1b, a beam spot B-3 is arranged onto an adjacent track guide, a beam spot B-2 is onto the optical recording area 1b and a beam spot B-1 is arranged onto the optical recording area 1a, and the beam spot B-2 writes the information to the optical information recording area 1b as a recording pit string 5.
