Summary:PURPOSE:To improve the antenna sensitivity by constituting a part of a roof near the upper end of a rear window on the same plane as the roof with an insulation material and arranging antenna elements to the region including the flat part in a vehicle having the metallic roof. CONSTITUTION:The rear window 5 is made of glass and the upperpart of the rear window 5 constitutes the same plane as the roof 1 while being bent toward the roof 1 and the antenna elements 11 are arranged at the upper part of the rear window including the plane. The antenna elements 11 are mounted by printing a dielectric material such as Ag or NESA film onto the inside of the glass of the rear window 5, that is, at the inside of the cabin and a feeding point 13 is provided to the end near the rear pillar. The antenna elements 11 are constituted by a uniform flat plate but it can be formed by any linear pattern. Further, a defogger 9 is mounted to the rear window 5 under the antenna elements 11.
