USE:An ameliorant of consciousness disorder in schizophrenia, depression, sequelae of cerebrovascular disorder, senile dementia, or epilepsy, etc. and ameliorant of hypobulia, dipression, hypomnesia, etc. PREPARATION:A 4-oxo-2-azetidinylcarboxylic acid (reactive derivative) expressed by formula VII is reacted with a proline expressed by the formula R -H or histidylproline derivative or a compound having the activated amino group or imino group thereof.
