Summary:NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (R and R are lower alkyl; n is 2-7; R is halogen; R is H or OH) and its salt. EXAMPLE:3-Dimethylamino-1-propyl 4-[3-(4-acetyl-3-hydroxy-2-propylphenoxy) propoxy]-3-bromoph-enylacetate. USE:Remedy for asthma and anti-inflammatory agent having low toxicity. It has remarkable antagonistic action against a chemical transmission substance (abbreviated as SRS-A) causing the contraction of bronchial smooth muscle, etc. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be produced by reacting the compound of formula II or its reactive derivative (e.g. acid halide) with the compound of formula III (Z is group eliminable by esterification reaction).
