Summary:PURPOSE:To enhance machining precision and lengthen the life of a machining tip by making spherical surface machining under such a condition that a cutting speed and a feeding degree of a machining tip become always optima through a rotationed speed control means corresponding to the material quality of a work. CONSTITUTION:The internal face of a work 9 is machined spherically by a machining tip 13 through the rotation and swing of a machining tool 10. The swing and rotation of the machining tool 10 are made by axial movement of an operation rod 17 and the rotation of an axial member 2. The displacement of the rod 16 is detected (27) by means of the rotational speed of a feeding motor 26, then the rotational speed of a motor 5 is controlled by a rotational speed control means 28 corresponding to the displacement. The control means 28 calculates and controls variably the rotational speed of the motor 5 corresponding to a condition to be established in such a manner that the material quality of a work 9 is decided to keep a cutting speed and a feeding rate constant against the swinging position of the tip 13 whereby a spherical surface machining is made precisely in optimal condition.
