Summary:PURPOSE:To conduct imexpensively coating without using any org. solvent for pretreatment, by degreasing the surface of a polyolefin resin molding, treating it with O2 plasma, applying a primer or a surfacer thereto and then applying a topcoating thereto. CONSTITUTION:A molding of a polyolefin resin such as polyethylene or polypropylene is immersed in a degreasing tank containing sodium metasilicate to degrease it. The molding is treated with O2 plasma in a plasma treating device to bond activated oxygen radical on the surface of the molding as carboxyl group, whereby surface energy is increased to enhance the bond strength of a coating film. A primer or a surfacer is applied to the surface of the molding 1 in such an amount to fill the recessed parts of grain 1a, and a topcoating is then applied thereto and curved by baking to thereby obtain a molding coated with good adhesion.
