Summary: | PURPOSE:To well perform both of printing operation and correcting operation, by applying low printing energy to a thermal recording medium at the time of printing while applying high printing energy thereto at the time of correction and performing printing operation and correcting operation when the surface temp. of a thermal head reaches predetermined temp. CONSTITUTION:In a head-up state, a pulse signal is applied to a thermal head, for example, for a time of about 7ms for the purpose of succeedingly performing printing operation and correcting operation to perform the heating operation of said head. In printing operation, the thermal head 4 is heated to set the surface temp. of the head to predetermined temp., for example, about 280 deg.C. In correcting operation, the thermal head 4 is heated to set the surface temp. of the head to predetermined temp., for example, about 480 deg.C. When correcting operation is performed, a head-down state is obtained in the same way at the time of printing and an overcoat layer 21 is arranged so as to be opposed to a character 25. |
