Summary:PURPOSE:To easily know a renewal month by a possessor of a card by providing a punch device for punching a hole at a position corresponding to a renewal term in question of the transaction card stopped at a renewal position by a renewal position setting means. CONSTITUTION:When a credit transaction card 32 is inputted to be set at a predetermined position, a predetermined position detecting signal outputted from a detecting section 31 is received and a CPU 21 judges whether the card 32 is normal or not. Subsequently, from a magnetic stripe of the card 32, an effective term data is read and whether the effective term is approaching or expires is judged. When it is detected the relevant renewal month is reached, after a motor 29 is stopped, a punch control signal is outputted from the CPU 21 and supplied to a punch drive control section 33 through a signal converting section 26. Herein, the control section 33 drives a punch device 27 to punch a hole at a section of the relevant renewal month of the card 32 and discharge the card 32.
