Summary: | PURPOSE:To detect exactly only the tension acting on a rolling material and to execute control with high accuracy by excluding by correction, the consumed current-component of a driving motor by the temp. change of the rolling material from the actual current value flowing in the driving motor. CONSTITUTION:The deformation resistance value at the measured temp. is read from a temp.-deformation resistance value diagram when the temp. value is momentarily measured by a thermometer T. The current consumption of the motor M with respect to the resistance value is calculated by a control device form said value. On the other hand, the actual current value flowing in the driving motor M is measured by an ammeter F and this value and the current value calculated from the change of the deformation resistance value by the temp. change are compared and only the change of the motor M current by the tension acting on the rolling material is extracted. More specifically, the change of the current flowing in the motor m which acts on the rolling material A between a planetary type cross helical rolling mill R and mill E is calculated by subtracting the consumed current-component by the temp. change of the rolling material form the current value flowing actually in the motor and said current is so controlled as to be kept constant, by which the tension acting on the material A is made constant. |
