Summary:PURPOSE:To precisely close a gas passage making use of vibration by freely bearing the shaft rod on whose upper part a weight is fitted and fixed on a spherical seat at the end of a bearing plate, and bringing the lower end of the rod into contact with the upper surface of a projection on a rotary plate. CONSTITUTION:The upper end of the valve rod 4 of a gas passage closing valve 3 is pivotally mounted on the one end of the laterally long rotary plate 2 whose middle part is pivotally mounted on a bearing plate 1. A spherical portion 8 on the lower part of the shaft rod 7 on whose upper part a weight 6 is fitted and fixed is freely beared on the spherical seat of a bearing projection 1' at the end of a bearing plate. The lower end of the rod 7 is brought into contact with the upper surface of the other end projection 2' on the rotary plate 2 and supported on it. When an automatic cut-off device is subjected to vibration, the rod 7 vibrates, and its lower end gets out of the projection 2'. Thus a spring 5 functions to cause a valve 3 to cut off a gas passage through a valve rod 4.
