Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive computer system by storing a microprogram as one file in an external memory device and storing the storage address of this file in a fixed address of the external memory device. CONSTITUTION:The file for microprogram storage is allocated by the utility program of a system program in a control storage ROM 21. Next, a microprogram file in a floppy disc device 6 is copied to the allocated file in a magnetic disc device 5 by the utility program of the system program. An address information generating program calculates microprogram storage address information in accordance with the microprogram start address in the magnetic disc device 5 and the file capacity and writes this address information in the fixed address of a system directory. Thus, the program can be loaded from the magnetic disc device 5.
