Summary:PURPOSE:To improve the surface roughness of a circular concave grooves and their hardness, and unify their machining precision by coupling the pressing circular projected grooves to those concave grooves after machined for rotation. CONSTITUTION:A workpiece 1 is placed in a space where the circular projected grooves 5 of a plurality of circular dies 3 are opposed to each other, and the projected grooves 5 of each circular die 3 is coupled to the pre-machined circular concave grooves 2 of the workpiece 1. Then, the circular dies 3 are caused to rotate, thereby pressing the circular projected grooves 5 to the circular concave grooves 2 for rotation. In this case, pressure directed to the axial center of the position of the above-mentioned grooves 2, relative to each circular die 3, is transmitted to an axis 4 and the top of the grooves 5 is made to contact the bottom of the grooves 2 with strong pressure. Concurrently, the axis 4 is pressed to rotate at a suitable speed, thereby improving the surface roughness and hardness of the above-mentioned circular concave grooves 2.
