Summary:PURPOSE:To provide apulverized coal burner which enables to keep volatile content from coal in high temperature and low oxygen combustion, by providing a means to promote ignition of pulverized coal by formign an atmospheric area in high temperature and of low oxygen in front of an injection port of mixed gas of solid fuel of pulveruzed coal and air. CONSTITUTION:Pulverized coal 1, conveying air 9 and main combustion air 20 are separately fed into a boiler furnace 26. The main combustion air 20 is divided into 20A and 20B. A swirl flow movement is given to air 20B so that a combustion process of volatile content is prevented from mixing with a main combustion process. A radiant body 25 of netting work is provided in front of a port from which the coal 1 and the air 9 are injected, so as not to be a great obstacle to the flows of injected materials, and laser is irradiated to the radiant body from a laser source 26. The radiant body 25 is coated with SUS agent of high heat conductivity and of high intensity, and with a ceramic coating compound having high resistance to wearing, because the coal 1 and the air 9 will collide against it.
