Summary:PURPOSE:To facilitate adjustment of unevenness among respective cylinders as well as adjustment of injection timing by adjusting a fuel injection amount by making use of turning movement of an annular valve and injection timing by making use of axial displacement thereof, in a multi-cylinder fuel injection pump. CONSTITUTION:A fuel injection amount is determined by giving turning movement of a plunger 3 by making use of forward and backward movement of an adjusting rack 35 by a governor, while injection timing is determined by making use of a rotation phase change with respect to a cam shaft 38. In addition, unevenness adjustment of first fuel among respective cylinders is effected by rotating an annular valve 6 around the plunger 3 by means of turning movement of an adjusting screw 81 and further displacing communication timing between an oil escape port 14 and a first lead 11. Moreover, the injection timing adjustment is effected by vertically displacing the annular valve 6 with the aid of an adjusting pin 91 and adjusting full close timing of the first lead 11. Furthermore, the unevenness adjustment of a second fuel is effected by changing a relative rotational position of a barrel 2 by loosening a fixing bolt 30 and changing communication timing between the oil escape port 15 and a second lead 12, and furthermore injection timing adjustment is effected by making use of shim 31 thickness between the pump casing upper surface 19 and the plunger part 29.
