Summary:PURPOSE:To shorten a writing access time by writing '1' and '0' independently of the stored status of a cell before writing. CONSTITUTION:In the operation of a storage circuit, '1' is written by making a current flow into a magnetic flux quantum writing control line 4 and entering the magnetic flux quantum into a superconductive film 1. On the other hand, '0' is written by making a current inverted from that of the '1' writing flow into the control line 4 and entering the magnetic flux quantum inverted from that of the '1' writing into the film 1. Reading is executed by discriminating the direction of the magnetic field of the held Abricosoff magnetic flux quantum on the basis of the phenomenon that the Josephson current control characteristic of a detecting joint 3 is transferred in a different direction along a reading control current axis in accordance with the polarity of the written magnetic flux quantum and detecting the stored status '1' or '0'.
