PURPOSE:To reduce the changing time of roll housings and to change and rearrange them easily at an off-line, by hooking a group of roll housings by universal hooks, inserted to reinforced suspension-beam brackets, and transporting the roll housings for each suspension beam to join them to the main body of mill. CONSTITUTION:The latching pins 10 of a group of roll housings 5 of a block mill are hooked by the hooking members of hooks 12, inserted to the blackets 9 of a suspension beam 4 provided with reinforcing beam 3. An assembling suspension beam 4 at an off-line is raised by the lifters 30, 40 of a portal crane 38 to transport it to a mill main body 2, and is joined to the body 2 by a clamper as well as the housings 5 are positioned and joined to the body 2 by the liners 52 of body 2 and suspension-beam liners 7. The housings 5 are rapidly exchanged in group to make the exchange and rearrangement of housings 5 easy at the off-line. Further, said construction is made capable of hook- suspending the roll housings 5 by its hooks 12 and blackets 9, having each oblong holes, and guide pins 15, as well as capable of conforming to the movements of housings 15.
