Summary:PURPOSE:To attain the inclusion of generations of terminal control programs by providing the generation number of the program to an operating telegraphic message to allow an exchange control processor to apply exchange control corresponding to the generation number. CONSTITUTION:In operating a generation management system of the program, a control program is transferred from a floppy disc 13 to an exchange control processor 11, which controls an exchange 10. Plural terminal control processors 3-1, 3-2, 5-1, 8-1 operated by a mask program are connected to a communication bus 14 connected to the exchange 10 and subscriber circuits 2-1, 2-2, trunk line circuits 4, 1 and an attendant board 7-1 are connected to the processors 3-1, 3-2, 5-1, 8-1. Further, a format of operating start telegraphic message is provided with a telegraphic message table, a telegraphic message number and generation number, the control processor 11 applies exchange control corresponding to the generation number to attain the inclusion of generations of terminal control programs.
