Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain promptness and accuracy in gas purge by providing through holes on the top portions of partitioning resistors at respective stages within turbine casings and providing a valve at the maximum diameter portion of the casing, in a turbine utilizing cold-heat energy of an LNG. CONSTITUTION:Through holes 8 in the direction of the turbine axle are provided at the top portions of partitioning registors 32 of inserting portions of diaphragms 15 within casings 12 and 13 so as to completely push out gas staying at the top portions. Further, a valve 23 for extracting gas (including air) at a high position of the maximum diameter portion of the casing after the ultimate stage vane so as to enable discharging of gas within the casings. By these procedures, substitutions within the casings 12 and 13 can be discriminated by opening the above valve 23, and opening of the upper casing 12 or the attachement and detachment operations of accessories of the turbine can be safely carried out.
