Summary:PURPOSE:To bring about an ink jet printer of easy maintenance in preventing ink leakage by loading a vat with components of an ink supply system. CONSTITUTION:A vat 28 which is made of plastics, metal and etc. is loaded with an ink tanks 21a-21d, ink filters 23a-23d, an ink supply pump 22, drainage collection pumps 27a and 27b, drainage collection reservoirs 26a and 26b, pipes and all other fittings to connect these items. All of these components are housed in the casing 29 which incases an ink jet printer itself. Therefore, all ink which leaked from the ink supply system drips into the vat 28, causing no stain elsewhere inside the casing. If a cover for opening and closing is provided in the frontage of the casing 29, and the vat is pulled out in the direction as indicated by an arrow, the whole mechanism of the ink supply system may be taken out to facilitate easy handling for maintenance.
